Physalis pruinosa. 70 days. Open-pollinated.
Aunt Molly's is an open-pollinated ground cherry variety from Poland.
Sprawling plants grow to about 2 feet in height and produce hundreds of golden yellow, 1/2 to 3/4 inch fruits covered by a papery husk.
Flavor is sweet with a hunt of tartness, and is often described as pineapple-meets-vanilla. An excellent choice for making pies, jams, and fruit salads!
