Big Bluestem is a perennial grass native to the Great Plains and grassland regions of the central and eastern United States.


Plant grows to about 6 feet in height and produces tall, towering stalks that bloom in the summer and seed in the fall.


Nicknamed 'King of the Grasses', Big Bluestem plays a vital role in native prairie ecosystems by protecting soils from erosion and providing habitat for numerous insects, mammals, and birds.
