85 days. F1 Hybrid.

Double Red is a hybrid sweet corn variety developed by Dr. Alan Kauler of Peace Seeds in Corvallis, Oregon and one of the most striking corns you're likely to see!

Plant grows to between 5 and 7 feet in height and produces 6 to 7 inch long ears that are packed with gorgeous, dark red to purple-black kernels. Flavor is rich and wonderfully sweet.

Though excellent when eaten fresh, Double Red can also be dried and ground into an excellent cornmeal or flour.
