60 days. Open-pollinated.
Dragon's Egg is an heirloom cucumber variety originally from Croatia. Vigorous vines produce impressive yields of cream colored fruits that are about the same shape and size as a large egg! Flesh is mild, sweet, and bitter free. Does not need peeling before eating as the rind is thin and tender.

Start cucumbers indoors about 2 weeks before the last spring frost, sowing the seeds 1/2 inch deep in small, individual peat pots. Use a heat mat to keep the soil temperature above 70°F and a humidity dome to ensure the soil stays moist between watering. Germination should occur within 7 to 14 days.
When the danger of frost has passed and the cucumber seedlings have developed their second set of true leaves, plant the seedlings 36 to 60 inches apart (or 12 inches apart if you're using a trellis) in a location with full sun and rich soil. Water frequently and consider applying mulch or straw around the base of the plant to retain moisture in the soil.
