Egyptian River Hemp, also known as Egyptian Rattle Pod, is a small, perennial tree in the legume family native to eastern Africa.

This fast growing tree can reach over 20 feet in height and produces clusters of edible, soft yellow flowers which are a popular ingredient in stir fries and omelets.

In traditional medicine, the roots and leaves are used to treat a variety of ailments including joint pain, sore throat, and scorpion stings.

  • Growing Tips
