Brassica juncea. 45 days. Open-pollinated.
Florida Broadleaf is an heirloom mustard green variety grown for its tender, tasty leaves.
Plant grows to about 18 to 30 inches in height with large, broad leaves that are dark green with cream-colored ribbing.
While this southern favorite is excellent when used fresh in salads and sandwiches, do yourself a favor and toss the cleaned, chopped leaves into a pressure cooker with a bit of water, ham or bacon, and some diced rutabaga or turnip. Pressure for fifteen minutes and enjoy!
