Golden Beauty is an heirloom casaba melon variety originally developed in the 1920s.
Fruits grow to around 6 inches in diameter and weight about six pounds each.
Tough rinds mature to a golden yellow. Flesh is white and deliciously sweet.
Once harvested, melons can be stored for a number of months, making them a great treat to break out for a little taste of summer during the early winter cold!

Start indoors 2 to 4 weeks before transplanting. Sow seeds 1/2 inch deep in individual peat pots and keep the soil around 75ºF until germination, which should occur in 7 to 14 days. Transplant outdoors once the soil temperature has warmed to around 70 or 80ºF.
