Ivy Gourd, also known as Scarlet Gourd, is a fast-growing perennial vine native to Africa and Asia.

 

Plant grows to about 10 to 15 feet in length and produces small, 2 to 3 inch long, oval-shaped fruits that start green and ripen to a bright red color. Flavor is mild and slightly tangy, with young fruits commonly used in stir-fries, curries, and for pickling.
