Licorice Basil, also known as Thai Basil, is an heirloom basil variety native to southeast Asia.
Plant grows to around 15 inches in height with 2 inch long, aromatic leaves that have the scent and flavor of licorice and anise.


Stems are purplish-red and small, burgundy colored flowers will bloom in summer if the plant is allowed to bolt.


Excellent for use in Thai cuisine and other traditional Asian dishes.
