Minnesota Midget Melon is an heirloom variety originally developed by the University of Minnesota in 1948.


Compact plants, which are excellent for small space or container gardens, produce fruits that grow to around 4 to 6 inches in diameter, just big enough to make a tasty little snack!


Deep orange flesh is sweet, succulent, and juicy.

  • Growing Tips

    Start indoors 2 to 4 weeks before transplanting. Sow seeds 1/2 inch deep in individual peat pots and keep the soil around 75ºF until germination, which should occur in 7 to 14 days. Transplant outdoors once the soil temperature has warmed to around 70 or 80ºF.
