Rio Grande Blue is an heirloom corn variety that can be traced back to the Pueblo Native Americans in New Mexico. Drought-resistant, deep rooted plants grow to around 5 to 7 feet tall and produce large, 8 to 10 inch long ears packed with brilliant blue kernels that are high in protein and antioxidants. Excellent for making protein-rich cornmeal and bread.
