Showy Tick Trefoil is a perennial wildflower native to the central and northeastern United States where it can often be found growing in black sand prairies, moist meadows, limestone glades, and alongside lakeshores and river banks.


Plant grows to around 5 feet in height and produces spiked, bright pink flowers that bloom for about three weeks in mid-summer.


Attracts numerous species of bees and butterflies, and is a crucial food source for birds such as northern bobwhites and wild turkeys.
