Spanish Needles is a perennial wildflower in the aster family native to the tropical and subtropical regions of the United States.

Plant can grow to about 8 feet in height (though it is often much smaller) and produces delicate white flowers on upright stems that bloom all year round in warmer climates.

Flowers attract native bees, honey bees, and other beneficial pollinators, while the young leaves, which have a nutrient profile similar to kale, can be eaten in fresh salads or dried and used to brew medicinal teas.
