Brassica oleracea. 40 days. Open-pollinated.
Spring Raab Broccoli, also known as Rapini, is a cool-season vegetable that, despite its name, is more closely related to turnips than to true broccoli.
Plant grows to about 30 inches tall and produces wide, turnip-like leaves and small, broccoli-like florets that have a rich, slightly pepper flavor.
While generally used as cooking greens, it can also be steamed, grilled, or sauteed.
