Cyphomandra Betacea.
Tamarillo, also known as a Tomato Tree, is a small, flowering tree native to South America. Plant grows up to 15 feet in height (though it is often much smaller if grown in containers) and produces edible, red, egg-shaped fruits that have bright orange flesh and a sweet and tangy flavor. Fruits can be eaten fresh (minus the skin, which is quite bitter) or used to make juice, chutney, desert toppings, or sauces. Tamarillos will typically produce fruit within 18 to 20 months after planting and will continue to fruit up to 12 years.
