Cucurbita mixta. 110 days. Open-pollinated.
Tricolor Cushaw is an open-pollinated, heirloom pumpkin variety first grown by the native peoples in the Americas as a staple food.
Productive, semi-bush vines produce excellent yields of cream colored fruits with orange and green stripes that are pear shaped, long necked, and weigh around 12 to 15 pounds each.
Hard-shelled rinds make cushaw an excellent winter keeper, and the fruit will stay good for many months if stored in a cool, dark environment. Flesh is golden and fine grained.
