Psophocarpus tetragonolobus. 85 days.
Winged Dragon Bean, also known as Princess Bean or Four-Angled Bean, is a perennial herbaceous legume thought to be native to New Guinea.
Fast growing vines can grow to over 9 feet in length and produce beans that have four ruffle-edged wings running lengthwise down the pods.
Every part of the plant is edible: the beans can be prepared as a vegetable, the leaves cooked similar to spinach, the roots prepared like potatoes, and even the dried seeds can be ground and used as flour.
Grows as a perennial in warmer regions and as an annual in regions with a cooler climate.
